Project:

Their current deployment strategy for the application is to utilise AWS ECR & ECS services. This will be a roughly 3 month outside IR35 contract and will require 2 days a week in the Sheffield office.

The project is to review our current high-level proposal for their cloud-based application & turn this into a fully documented, secure & working environment ready for production, with the ability to scale on demand, whilst following best practices & ensuring the deployment is secure.

The application is delivered as a docker image so confidence with AWS ECS, ECR is a must.

High Level Requirements:

• Ability to scale on demand.
• Multi region replication to provide disaster recovery.
• High availability within each region & distributed load balancing.
• Application will be accessed by users globally & will be connected to by a global distribution of the companies appliances so latency to be at minimum.
• Secure private connections to MongoDB Atlas from containers.
• Support HTTP & WebSocket connections from both users & companies appliances.
• Setup & configure CloudWatch, CloudTrail & GuardDuty.
• WAF & network security groups configuration.
• Utilise KMS for securing data at rest.
• Cost optimised.
