Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst with expertise in Tableau and become a pivotal part of our clients Solutions Engineering team. This position is a 9-12 month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) with the potential for permanence.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in data analysis, proficiency in Tableau and SQL, and a solid understanding of Power BI and other visualization tools. As a Digital Data Analyst, you will transform complex data from multiple sources into visually compelling insights to drive informed business decisions. Experience in post-implementation stakeholder support is essential.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and maintain impactful Tableau dashboards and reports.
  • Gather requirements from various stakeholders and translate business needs to technical specifications.
  • Develop, design, and maintain high performing insightful Tableau reports.
  • Create and manage data models in Tableau to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform data integrations through data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) tasks of large datasets using SQL and prepare data for analysis and visualisation.
  • Identify and implement optimizations for data visualisation and report to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement new Tableau features and ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Provide end-users training on effective Tableau usage and offer ongoing support.
  • Interact with and support stakeholders’ post-implementation, addressing data visualisation needs.
  • Communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and team members for smooth data integration and to spread the knowledge across the team.

Skills and Requirements

  • Several years of extensive data analysis and visualisation experience, with a focus on Tableau and SQL to translate complex data into visually compelling, actionable insights.
  • Enthusiastic, self-driven, and proactive individual with a passion for thinking outside the box.
  • Strong SQL skills for manipulation and analysis of large datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas.
  • Understanding of data visualisation principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and data warehouse architectures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office skills
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Python for data analysis.
  • Experience in finance.
