We have partnered with a Data & Analytics consultancy who are looking for a Senior Data Architect for their CPG client. This is a 6 month rolling contract, outside IR35. It is a hybrid role with an expectation to be onsite 2/3 days a week in either Slough or Paddington.

Key Skills
Conversant in discussing various architectural concepts including lake house, data warehouse, data mesh, and data fabric.
Deep background in data modelling and data architecture.
Must have a good understanding on data governance, data security and access controls using azure native services.
Deep expertise architecting complex and scalable data engineering pipelines using Azure analytical stack including databricks.
Experience delivering analytical use cases using reports and dashboards.
Experience preparing engineering guidelines in order to enable standardization and pipeline maintenance.
Experience optimizing complex application to reduce execution time and cost.
Ability to assess the complexity of the applications and provide estimates.
Engaged with technical and non-technical stakeholders to enable timely and quality delivery for large scale programs.
Experience leading working sessions and proactively identify any architectural and design gaps.

Key Asks
12+ years of overall experience with 8+ years of experience in Azure tech stack, enabling a global scalable data foundation enabling the delivery of down stream analytics use cases.
8+ years of hands-on experience in architecting, designing, and implementing data ingestion pipes for batch, real-time, and streams on Azure cloud platform at scale.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud especially with HDInsight(Azure), Spark, Blob storage etc technologies.

Experience working in the CPG industry is a huge PLUS
Experience in data wrangling, advanced analytic modelling, and AI/ML capabilities is preferred.
3+ years of hands-on experience in using Databricks.
Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader with solid critical thinking able to quickly connect technical and business ‘dots’.
Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to deal with ambiguity while juggling multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
Ability to understand statistical solutions and execute similar activities.
