Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior GCP Data Architect with hands-on coding skills, extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and a profound understanding of Google's AI and ML tools. The ideal candidate will excel in client engagement, possessing the ability to lead and conduct workshops to deliver innovative and effective data architecture solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and data requirements, providing expert guidance on GCP data architecture solutions.
- Lead and facilitate workshops to assess, design, and implement data solutions aligned with client needs.
- Architect end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring scalability, performance, and security in accordance with best practices.
- Utilize hands-on coding skills to implement and optimize data solutions, incorporating Google AI and ML tools where applicable.
- Design and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions into existing systems and workflows.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in GCP and data-related technologies, incorporating new tools and methodologies to enhance data architecture capabilities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, specializing in Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong hands-on coding skills with proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, or others.
- Extensive knowledge of GCP services, particularly in the realm of data and analytics.
- In-depth understanding of Google's AI and ML tools, including TensorFlow, BigQuery ML, and AutoML.
- Experience leading and conducting client workshops to gather requirements and define data architecture solutions.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer or Architect are highly desirable.
